ABOUT GWS

 

In 1955, the Fifth Electronics Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology was set up, starting the earliest reliability research in China.   Approved by the state, the institute has started to develop environmental test equipment in 1958 and the first batch of environmental test equipment was successfully developed.

From 1995 to2012, the Fifth Electronics Research Institute had cooperated with ESPEC Corp. Japan for a long 17 years and manufactured environmental test equipment under the name of GuangZhou ESPEC Environmental Equipment Co., Ltd.   In November 2012, the Fifth Electronics Research Institute acquired 50% shares in the joint venture and named the new company as “GWS Environmental Equipment Co., Ltd” and started to use the new “GWS” brand.

As quality is the foremost priority commitment of GWS, the factory has comply with ISO 9001 Quality Management System as early as 1999.   Among the industries, GWS is the first to comply with ISO14001 Environmental Management System and QHSAS18001 Occupational Health and Safety Assessment in 2001.

Currently in GuangZhou city, besides the existing 24000m² factory in Huadu district, GWS is building the second factory in ZengCheng New District and expected to be completed in 2017.
